I've been a teacher for more than thirty years now and, you won't believe it, I still love my job. Until recently I was the headmaster of a mid-size elementary school in Anderten, which is one of Hannover's still more rural suburbs. At our school, the Kurt-Schumacher-Schule, 21 teachers teach about 290 pupils at an age of 6 to 11. We also have a school kindergarden for those boys and girls that are already 6 years old but not yet far enough in their personal development.
Some of my time I still spend teaching for boys and girls in English, Math, German and other topics - and I do like this very much.
